Macro Nutrition Coaching Online

I am a 2018 Master’s (35-39 division) CrossFit Games Athlete. I also competed in 2017 and 2015 at Regionals on a Team, and in 2016 competed at Regionals as an Individual. I placed 9th in the Southeast Region in 2016. Before CrossFit in 2009, I competed in Bikini Competitions. I have a BS in Exercise Health Science.

What were you doing before you started counting macros?

I was simply trying to eat clean but then I would binge on carbs because I was only eating Paleo when I was “clean.” The yo-yo dieting of the Eating Disordered life was not serving any of my goals.

How has flexible dieting changed your life?

Flexible dieting and having my own coach over time and a ton of consistency freed me from the eating disordered tendencies I had developed. It created a healthier body, mind, and spirit for me.

What got you involved in the nutrition world and why did you become a coach?

I started off in high school with eating disorders in order to lose weight. Once in college, the eating disorders were in full swing and I started researching how I could lose weight and be healthy. I was diagnosed with a digestive disorder, anxiety, and depression, and put on a lot of medications. Around this time I realized how food could change all that and started changing my lifestyle habits. Years later, I trained to compete in bikini competitions, and again was trying to change my body.  The eating disorders came back with a vengeance so I quit and gained weight again. Once I started competing in CrossFit in 2014, I realized I could not perform with the on again off again dieting. After going through the process with Jason and realizing there was an easier way where I could fit good nutrition into my traveling life, AND become an elite athlete, I wanted to share that with as many people as possible. I wanted to let others see they could let go of fear and rules and disordered eating and still have abs or become a great athlete! They didn’t have to be caged inside all of the extreme diets and tendencies.

What is it you love most about helping people?

I love the relationships I get to develop with my clients. Experiencing their growth in every area of their life is the most rewarding. I get to watch them choose to put themselves first and learn to take care of their health and go after their dreams.

Best success story from client relationship:

Honestly, the stories where my client says they no longer apply their self worth to their body is what I deem the most successful! We can have any body we want if we do the work and stay consistent – but the freedom of loving ourselves is what I truly see as success!

How do you motivate and inspire people?

I live it! I struggle just like they do, but we always find a way to realize our dreams, design our own lives, and become a new person on the other side. I motivate by being 100% authentic!
